Common genetic abnormalities and phenotypic scoring in Saudi patients with acute B-lymphoblastic leukemia

<b>Introduction: </b>B-acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) is a malignant neoplasm of hematopoietic stem cells originating in bone marrow and characterized by proliferation blast lymphoid series. The aim this study was to predictive scoring system (SS) using fully standardized EuroFlow eight-color panel.<br /> <b>Methods:</b> expression the different cluster differentiation (CD) markers involved B-ALL panel investigated measuring their positivity, percentage, median fluorescence intensity.<br <b>Results:</b> CD9, CD123, TdT were used predict <i>TCF3PBX1</i> with 80.0% sensitivity (SN) 100% specificity (SP). CD20 CD66 hypoploidy 63.0% SN SP. As result, no useful discriminative SS developed.<br <b>Conclusions:</b> Four SSs proposed for prediction most common cytogenetic abnormalities Saudi B-ALL.
